It started with a love of throwing dinner parties.
Slow Cook Sisters grew from my love of cooking for people. For years I was happiest planning dinner parties, trying new recipes and filling the table with great food.
That love of feeding my friends eventually became a catering business, and later Slow Cook Sisters - a way to cook the kind of food I’d make for my loved ones, for other people to enjoy at home.
These days I cook from a purpose-built kitchen in my garden in Geelong. Still in small batches and still made with all my love.

We make the kind of food we want to eat ourselves- generous, full of flavour and made with care. The sort of dinner you're always happy to find tucked away in the freezer.
Only the freshest ingredients
Our ingredients are selected with great care. Everything arrives fresh in the morning - meat from our local butcher, fruit and veg from the market and most of our herbs are picked from our garden.
Then we get to work. By lunchtime, it’s all in the pot.
An ever-changing menu
Our menu changes regularly, following the seasons, what looks good at the market and, quite simply, what we feel like cooking.
There are old favourites we return to again and again, alongside new dishes we’re excited to share. If there’s something you’ve loved and would love to eat again, tell us - we’re always listening.

Trying to tread a little lighter
We know plastic isn’t ideal. For frozen food, we haven’t yet found a better option that protects the food and prevents freezer burn. Our containers can be washed and reused many times, then recycled at the end of their life. Our lasagne trays are recyclable too.
We also buy ingredients in bulk, reducing the amount of packaging coming into our kitchen. Our kitchen is powered by solar energy.
As soon as there’s a genuinely better packaging option for frozen food, we’ll be very happy to make the switch.
So, who are the Sisters?
Slow Cook Sisters began with an idea of a sisterhood around food.
Women cooking together, sharing skills, swapping recipes, laughing, chopping, talking, stirring and making wonderful food for other people.
