Ingredients and allergens

Ingredients: Beef, brown onion, tomatoes, red wine (sulphites), carrot, beef stock (water, beef, carrot, celery, cabbage, onion, parsley, pepper, salt, yeast extract, sugar, glucose, caramelised sugar, cloves), celery, olive oil, red wine vinegar, tomato paste, garlic, parsley, salt, black pepper, cinnamon, allspice, cloves, bay leaves.

Allergens: Contains sulphites. Orzo, suggested for serving, contains wheat and gluten.

Heating and serving

Heating: Defrost overnight in the fridge. Transfer to a saucepan and reheat gently, stirring occasionally, until piping hot throughout. Alternatively, transfer to an ovenproof dish, cover and heat in the oven until piping hot. Add a splash of water if needed. Once defrosted, consume within 48 hours.

Serving: Serve over freshly cooked orzo, also known as risoni, with chopped parsley and a crisp green salad. Cook the orzo according to the packet instructions, then drain and toss with olive oil before serving.

Storage

Keep frozen. Once defrosted, eat within 48 hours.

    Greek Beef Stifado

    Tender beef, slow-cooked in a rich tomato and red wine sauce with sweet onions, garlic and vegetables. Gently fragrant with cinnamon, allspice and bay, this Greek favourite is made for generous spoonfuls over orzo, with plenty of sauce to soak up.  Fabulous with some feta crumbled over the top.

    Toss a salad, pour a glass and settle in.
